My children had been in need of speech therapy for quite sometime & we had utilized several options prior to finding Carter Therapy. HOW I WISH WE HAD TRIED HERE FIRST! If your child needs assistance with speech issues, call Carter Therapy and get your child the start mine almost missed out on. School based speech speech is better than nothing but know by law all schools are required to do is meet minimum standards. Frequently children that really need speech do not meet the "requirement" according to school protocol.The test utilized in schools is different than test performed by a private therapist & even if your child does qualify for school based therapy it is measurably different than that of an independent speech therapist.
