Pine Hill Country Day School was like a second home for my children! They were so loved and accepted there, by the staff and other students. It is such a wonderful environment. I even brought my younger ones who did not attend, just to be there and "soak it in". The education they provide is second to none. My daughter, at five years old could add three 4 digit numbers. She could carry digits. She was learning to figure problems out on her own. She was taught a joy in learning! Children at pine hill learn independence as well as teamwork. The teachers base the lessons on students individual interests. I have never seen a school where our whole family was so valued by the staff. If the teacher had a question about our religious practices, or dietary concerns, I received a quick call on my cell phone to clear it up. The one thing that truly sealed the deal for me was when my daughter came home from school and said "I like going to school. My teachers tell me they love me every day". Thank you pine hill, for an amazing start for our kids!

My son loves the school, and is thriving there. I know it's hard to evaluate a school for this age group, it seems like they aren't doing a lot, but in reality their growth is progressing by leaps and bounds! I come from a family of teachers, from my great-grandmother who got her degree in education and taught the majority of her life, to my mother and her sisters who were elementary school teachers the last of whom recently retired from teaching kindergarten. They all taught me that at this age children learn best through play, and that's the philosophy of PHCDS. The Spanish is true immersion in that they have a teacher who pretty much only speaks Spanish to the kids, and my little guy has picked up a few words! No school is perfect, and we all have our bad days, but I think the good outweighs the bad at this school.
