The Upper Dublin Police Department works to provide law enforcement services, deter criminal activities, maintain law and order, and protect lives and property. It consists of patrol, communication, and adult and juvenile investigation divisions. The department has several specialized units that address tactical and medical response, major incidents and bike and highway patrol. The Upper Dublin Police Department supports the college internship program, driver safety seminars, as well as operates a junior police academy. In addition, it organizes individual talks for schools and civic associations. The department instructs students in public and private schools through the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E) program. The Upper Dublin Township Police Department host the National Night Out program and offers information regarding identity theft.
