First, the BIG LIE...ER Wait Time....that's before you see a PA in triage instead of just the nurse. Average 5, 6, 7, etc. minutes IS A LIE! After Triage, you're still in lobby for 3 to 4 hrs. I was in so much pain, that I left after 2.5 hrs. They STILL billed me $100 co-pay. Most expensive temperature and BP check I ever had. On 2nd visit, finally saw Doc. They checked to make sure I wasn't having heart attack, said stomach pain was ulcer (which I later found out was no where near being correct) and discharged me. People warned me when I moved here but I didn't listen. NEVER AGAIN unless literally dying.

Medicare influenced hospital.Money comes first before the patients health!Doctors are owned by Medicare will NEVER go against Medicare and or any insurance's wishes. People who work there are RUDE and low class human beings not to mention a few racist workers that have been caught mimicking Mexican Americans! There is a far better hospital in Destin!

This place is by far the worst...

This place is by far the worst medical center I have ever seen, I ve heard plenty of locals complain about their experiences with this place I wish they all took time to write a review and make a complaint to the medical board the way I have.

Most of the doctor staff is rude and under qualified, like they are just playing dress up and have no clue what they are really doing.

I experienced the rudeness when i went in for a problem and the doctor had the audacity to make fun of my problems when i was clearly in excruciating pain and treated me with such disrespect i ripped my own IV out and walked out right then, and im one of the most calm rational understanding ppl ever!

Then a few months later I am forced to bring my son to this hell hole because my child who went to bed completely healthy woke up partially paralyzed and unable to urinate and their ER doctor has the nerve to say my 2 yr old had a sinus infection wrote a rx for antibiotics and discharged him. Im not even medically trained and knew enough to know sinus infections dont cause those symptoms and in fact my son had not one actual sinus infection symptom at all, so obviously i carried my 2 yr old out if there overly filled bkadder and unable to barely sit up on his own and unable to walk at all and i got a second opinion at a further away but more qualified hospital to find out that my son actually had a spinal cord condition that if had been left untreated could have killed him or left him severely disabled forever.

This is just my story and their are so many other peoples stories ive heard that are similar, Ive even had an EMT friend tell me he hates when he gets a call and he is required to bring the people to that place and that he always tries to find reasons to take them anywhere else. Please just do not go here drive the extra minutes to any other hospital.

If I could give no stars I would have!! By far the worst hospital I have ever been too!! To start with everyone there is rude. The lady at the front desk does not check you in all she is there for is to tell you "use the touch screen computer in the corner" which is really nasty with all the sick people touching it! There are no rooms in the ER a curtain is the only thing that separates you from the other person. Most ever person we saw did not have scrubs on, they where in tee shirts and pants. The nurse that gave my 2 year old son pain meds blew in his mouth to get him to swallow. Talk about spreading germs! The xray tech smacked her gum and seemed either really tired from working too much or on something...We left the hospital and felt so dirty we wanted to burn all the clothing we where in. Now my insurance got the bill of $4300 for xrays and one dose of meds, doesnt make any sense! NEVER EVER GO THERE!!

You be the judge. I see there ...

You be the judge. I see there are two bad reviews on here, and they really surprised me. I am not questioning their experience, because it was a different year, and who knows what happened to them, but here is mine. I had a hysterectomy here on 6-26-12. I was not waiting long before surgery, and all the nurses and anesthesiologist were all extremely nice to me.

After surgery, anytime I needed something a nurse was there immediately. They always made sure I was as comfortable as possible, and treated me with dignity and respect. They were also very nice to my husband and children when they visited me. The only reason I didn't give the hospital 5 stars, was because frankly, their food is HORRIBLE. But other than that, I had a wonderful experience.

If you can help it NEVER step ...

If you can help it NEVER step foot in this hospital.. This is a for profit hospital that has forgotten the human element.. I was there one day and heard a nurse say "Sacred heart is sending over a patient" "and "SURPRISE" they have NO insurance.. I mean what is their life worth less and they deserve no treatment and besides what did she care she gets paid by the hour! I want to get my R.N. so I can help people who are unfortunate and it makes me feel ashamed that other people are so heartless.. If you go to this hospital you get a very fair picture of how Greedy our healthcare system has become.. We need universal healthcare :(

STAY AWAY.......

This hospital is the worse I have ever seen. I was hit by a car in a parking lot and went into this E.R. for treatment. First, I waited almost 2 hrs in the waiting room just to be seen (only 4 or 5 others waiting), then I was treated horribly by a ladie that collects your insurance/payment information (she small w/glasses & sounds like she smokes a lot of cigerettes). She demanded I pay my $75 co pay or led me to beleive I was going to be asked to leave if I didn't. I explained I did not have it and she still insisted & said she was going to have someone else come in and attempt to collect it from me so I better figure out how I'm going to pay it. Then I sat in the room for another 2 hrs, when I went out to ask whats going on, all the Dr's & nurses were sitting at the nurses station watching TV & eating, shooting the breeze over some show they were all watching. You're better off driving to Pensacola to get treatment.....STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOSPITAL!!
