Called on a Saturday because my unit wasn't coming on. He was here within minutes. Replaced the thermostat and didn't even charge for after hours. Great service and I highly recommend

I would highly recommend Akins Heating and Cooling to anyone seeking repairs or replacement of their AC or heater. This past winter the heater unit that keeps the bedrooms heated went out in middle of night during the first coldest day of the season. The house was uncomfortably cold by morning. To make matter worse elderly family were already on their way from out of town. My husband called James Akins and he sent someone out right away to assess the problem. Unfortunately, the unit was beyond repair but Akins worked diligently to replace the unit so we could have heat. Given our situation, most companies would have taken advantage of the situation by charging a really high price but he didn't. I would like to say that it all end there but it doesn't. This past week, on the hottest day of the year (so far) our older AC unit that cools the front part of the house stopped working. (KITCHEN and livingroom area). Remembering the great service, my husband calls Akins to check out the problem. Fortunately, only a small part needed to be replaced to get it working properly. I'm sure in the next few years this older AC/heater unit will probably need replacing as well. Thankfully, James Akins, is a honest guy who cares about people and provides great customer service so when that day comes I know who we will be calling. I am a very satisfied customer in Dutton and gladly give this company a 5+ Star rating!!!
