Isn't the post office responsible for important document when delivered wrong address. My green card was delivered at a wrong address. I gotta do all over and pay 540 that I had already paid plus postage plus lawyers. Aren't nobody responsible?

Mixed reviews- the counter people were very helpful- our custom mailbox was run over- it would take about three weeks to repair. I could put the mail on hold- for 30 days- but when I picked the mail up the hold would be taken off. But on the side- they were trying to be accommodating- and said if I was to pick up the mail weekly that shouldn't be a problem. We just purchased and sold a house so we had very important closing papers arriving- probably the worst time to lose a mailbox! Well low and behold, when we went to pick up the mail- we got a stickler from the back of the office- who wouldn't allow it! I understand rules- but sometimes bending of the rules is a benefit to the customer. I had 2 boxes that were supposed to be delivered, and are flagged as being picked up- so we'll see.
