Please remove this from your website! Total waste of gas $$$$ seeing that they are closed! You should not list flea markets that are no longer there!! Very mad at this site for false advertisement!

Obviously, the two reviews bel...

Obviously, the two reviews below were planted. Though Trader Marc's is now closed (no surprise there!), none of what they stated was true. Only the managers of TM's would have said blatant lies like, "hundreds of vendors," "lots of food" and "it rivals the big ones in Florida and Texas" (that's just some of the propaganda management would spiel to potential new vendors).

Even if ALL the vendors had been open at the same time, there never were even a hundred vendors, much less "hundreds" there. On Fridays, MAYBE 33% of the vendors were open. Saturdays and Sundays were crap shoots as well; many would open late and/or close early -- if they opened at all. As long as TM's received its rent money from the vendors, management couldn't have cared less about what went on.

And, instead of boldly stating "heated and air-conditioned", the term "weather-protected" would have been more appropriate since at least nobody ever got rained on or sunburned while inside. But, being 84 degrees inside on a hot day, and 66 degrees inside on a winter day do not warrant a facility being called "climate-controlled."

And food? Many Fridays, there were NO food vendors there, and often there weren't even sodas to buy in the management-stocked drink refrigerator in the main aisle. At most, there were four food vendors available, but I do have to say that their food was generally very good, even if the selection was limited.

The market owners' lackadaisical, cheap and greedy management style caused TM's to go under, in spite of the efforts of a few dedicated vendors (of which I was one). The facility being run into the ground was a loss to those caring vendors, and their regular customers.

Flea Market Junkie

Trader Marc is the biggest and best flea market in the Carolnas. It rivals the big ones in Florida and Texas. And, the best part of it, it is all under one roof that is the largest air-condition building of its kind in the South. Not only do the Shoppers enjoy it, but the vendors have a great place to work. They can leave their stuff in the space under lock and key. It is within a few miles of the famous Paramount Carawinds Theme Park and you need the whole weekend to visit both of them. It is a showcase for shoppers. If you have never been to a flea market, or if you have been to many, this is one you will enjoy. Bring the family and friends...
