I called Kim's to see if they could make a very simple long dress and jacket for my daughter as I had broken my wrist and couldn't do it myself. When I say simple, the dress only required thread and elastic the jacket just thread. The pattern required no special sewing skills. Both pieces could be made in 4 hours easy. Kim said no problem. However when I got there it was very obvious she did not want to do it. She quoted a price of $250 which was ridiculous and I told her so. A friend then connected me with a local costumer. She made both pieces in 4 hours for $40. Both pieces were beautifully sewn. I'll never go to Kim's again.

I have taken numerous items for alterations and they have finished the items on the date they promised. In one case I was lax on taking the item in and they put a rush on the alteration so I could have it for a special event. I was very lucky they could do the work quickly. Thank you
