I was given a tri colored Collie, about 9 years old. Although she had been fed and watered, the poor thing had been staying in a concrete floor kennel. When I went to pick her up, the previous owner let her out to roam and I questioned why she limped a little. I was told possibly because of the severe matting on her hind quarters. Her coat towards the hind quarters was extremely matted. Lacey reeked of feces when I had her in the car headed home. Once home my son and I tried to bathe her using my best shampoo and conditioner to no avail. We had her in the little swimming pool out back. Looked in the phone book for available groomers and found yuppy puppy. I talked with the woman, she had just closed for the day, and the next day was her day off. I explained what was going on and she told me to bring Lacey right over. This lady was a godsend. She took Lacey in, even though she was closed and bathed and groomed her, got rid of all those mats. Lacey was alot better. The owner has a real passion for animals which I admire in the business. To me, it makes all the difference in the world. Lacey went back again when her hair grew. back. Lacey was housebroke, loved to be inside and just a gentle sweet giant, (she ballooned out staying inside :) ). Because of the concrete Lacey had been on for so long, her hips gave her problems, even more so with the weight she put on. Poor dog didnt know what table food was. Yuppy Puppy I would recommend, the owner went above and beyond for my dog, and for that I am extremely happy.
