Provided by SuperpagesThere is nothing Indian about it; cuisine nor the hospitality! Being an Indian, I feel ashamed that the owner has been fooling his customers for pieces of meat/vegetables supposedly presented as Indian food. What is more astonishing is that the person who needs a lesson or two in customer service is the manager (or owner) of this joint. If you go for dinner, he will always come and bug you saying that the hotel is going to close shortly; indicating please gulp up the cardboard pieces in front of you.One cant imagine, when i told him that chicken pakora is like rubber chicken, he said that he is in business for 22 years and what i was saying is wrong. We had a big argument, but he really needs to know how to talk with customers.I paid him 65 bucks but i guess 6.5 spent in MacDonalds across the street would be a good option next time. He is robbing his customers for so many years, no wonder he drives a Mercedes!!!

Provided by YP.comMaharani has been around for years. It is by far one of the better Indian restaurants in the area. The place is clean & the staff are friendly. The ambiance is very nice & romantic with its dim lighting. The buffet has a nice variety to please both vegetarians & non-vegetarians. The staff is very accomodating. Definitely do not agree with the other review of this place. Try it for yourself-you will NOT be disappointed! :)

Provided by SuperpagesWhen I first moved to Fort Lee from New York, it was one of the first restaurant i tried in Fort Lee. I actually ordered out because the atmosphere there was a bit gloomy and dark. The waiter/host was very nice and suggested couple of dishes. I ordered the lamb curry to go and it was exceptional! One of the best Indian food I ever had. Gotta admit it's a bit expensive and the food comes in small portion. Overall, I give it A++

Provided by YP.comPros : 1. The staff are friendly.
2. The afternoon bruch will have a good number of dishes like vada, dosa, roti, basmati rice, chicken curry, tandoori chicken, lamb curry, 2 veg curries, sambar, etc...
Cons : 1. The quality is not so good and not very fresh food.
2. Seems to be little expensive (not very much)
Since we don't have any other Indian restaurant in the near by , we can afford a few times.
