I've been a patient of Dr. Astaphan for several years and have always been extremely pleased with the high level of care he has provided, as well with the professional atmosphere of his office. As a board-certified dermatologist myself, I recognize that his formal training in maxillofacial surgery, along with innate eye for aesthetics and long experience performing these procedures generate superior outcomes. He has consistently exceeded my expectations. He and his staff are professional, courteous and always go the extra mile to accommodate scheduling.



Dr. Astaphan and I often "talk shop" during my visits, and I'm always impressed with how up-to-date he is on the aesthetic literature (and general medical literature as well). He has an inquisitive mind, and it's not unusual for him to mention an article I've not yet had a chance to read. "Dr. A." stands out from the crowd, which is why I keep going back.

I love everything about this office...the staff, Dr. Astaphan, the location....all are professional, friendly and eager to assist you. Moreover, every service they perform at Silk is topnotch. I highly recommend them to all of my friends.

Very disappointing experience! When I arrived for my first appointment, the gay male medical assistant was gossiping loudly with another male co-worker about the club they had been to the previous night, and all of the guys they had cruised, in intimate detail. Too much information, and not professional for a doctors waiting area. At one point they did close the glass window, probably forgetting that they were at work !!



I went to this doctor for Dysport (similar to Botox) forehead treatment. Since I only knew a little about this "doctor" (former dentist and anesthesiologist, NOT a dermatologist), I asked for less than what the doctor prescribed for smoothing my forehead. He wanted to do 30 units, I asked for 20. Two weeks later, absolutely no results. Went back for follow-up. Doctor was very defensive, saying that I had deep wrinkles, and that he told me I would need up to 63 units on the first visit ! He never told me any such thing. I would never allow a new doctor to inject that amount into my forehead. If he had actually told me I needed 63 units, I would have left. What he actually told me was that 20 units would smooth my forehead, which it did not. He argued with me for 30 minutes, and said that I was obviously asking for a freebie. His "follow up" visits are his chance to sell you more product, when it did not work the first time. Not sure if the product is old or diluted, but it did not work!



He was very defensive for a supposed professional. Remember Dr. A, the customer is always right !! And this customer will never be back! I will go to a certified dermatologist next time......



And I only went here because they are close to my house, and have Saturday hours.....



Never again !!
