HORRIBLE moving experience!! Do your self a favor and don't use these guys. Broke stuff, lost stuff, late on pick up, price changed at last min, and the list goes on, heck they even got in a fight in my driveway. I am so mad I can't explain it, really can't believe this company is still in business. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY or you will regret it. So many things are broken, and lost (or stolen) , horrible company and I hope you don't make the mistake I did ....FIND ANOTHER MOVING COMPANY !!

Thieves, cheaters, manipulators! I state unequivocally: Do NOT do any business with them! I would give zero stars if I could. They also operate under the name Fendas Moving and Storage. Beware!

Don't do it!! They gave us an estimate of $2300 after taking a full inventory of our move and took a $700 deposit. Brokered us out to another company who took one look at our stuff and said the cheapest they could do was $4700. Savannah was closed the day they came so we waited until Monday to try and work something out in hopes that they would honor their binding estimate. It's now been almost 3 weeks and we have had someone answer the company phone ONCE and he said he couldn't help us and hung up on me. We reported them and apparently there are 29 other complaints and 9 of which were hostage.

Dont do it.
I was moving from El Paso to Bethesda, looking for a moving company. A guy called Angle contacted me on June 23rd 2016. I gave them $392 as advance and rest of the money should be before and after delivery. They again contacted me on 10th August and said they will pick up the things on 17th August. However, no one showed up on 17th. I tried to contact them, the response was we are working on it. Then they stopped taking the phone. On 21st August Sam (the manager) take the phone and said they will not be able to do the move. Did not even apologize.
Getting the money back. First 10 days they said the the machine (I am not sure what machine) is broken and they can not transfer the money. Then they told me that they are sending me a check. The check never reached me. I waited another 2 weeks for the check and contacted them. Now, the accountant in on vacation.

Then I report the whole situation to the credit card company. And now they are taking steps to get the money back.

Lies about company price, company leaves damages in house and management does not care or respond to filing a complaint. Storage equipment missing garden equipment missing kitchen dishes broke !

When I originally talked to Savannah Van Lines for my move from Colorado to California, Bob Hines contacted me and everything sounded so good, he said he had been in the business for so many years and sold me the world. I am usually not a sucker at these things, but I fell for it. I sat for 30+ minutes to give him my inventory of items and as soon as I gave him my deposit, that was where the lack of customer service came to play.

I was quoted $3800 for the move, I ended up paying $6750. This is a huge SCAM, do not use Savannah Van Lines. Bob never contacted me again after the deposit, he never even answered my e-mails or calls. In Bob's words "Moving is stressful, I understand that people do this only a few times in their lives and we are here to help with the process". If you have been in the business for so long, maybe it is a good idea to start communicating to people. If movers just talked more to their customers, there might not be so many negative reviews.

I wasn't able to contact anyone about my move until 3 days before my move date when Angel finally contacted me from customer service. My moving "window" was Thu-Fri, but Angel told me my move day pickup would be Thursday, July 14th, and that my arrival date would "most likely" not be same day. As a precaution, I changed my lease date to July 14th, which was $50. On Wednesday, Angel said "Okay now your pickup is Friday from 11-2". I demanded that I get $50 off for jerking me around with the date. It was a miscommunication and after 30 mins of raising hell between both Angel and his supervisor Sam, they wouldn't give us $50 off our bill.

Out of fear, frustration and lack of trust, we cancelled our move, had to eat our deposit and rented a U-Haul where my wife and I loaded approx. 3000 lbs of stuff into the 15' truck ourselves. $1700 payment lost over a mere $50 that was caused by a customer service miscommunication and a long string of stubbornness and denial from both representatives.

Run away now! This company is a broker company and will lie about everything just to get your business. My household items was picked up July 8th 2016 was told I would get my items with in 3 days and here it is July 22 2016 and I can't even get anyone to answer my phone calls. My original quote was 3650.00 I ended up paying 5700.00 even though I was guaranteed that it would not exceed the original amount. Apex van lines is who savannah sold my job to. They are terrible the truck driver urinated on his tire well in front of my young daughters the movers were careless with my items. I have a feeling that my belongings will not arrive at my new home and if they do alot of things will be missing or broken. I would advise those looking to move to stay far away from this company.

Bottom Line - We paid $900 more than quoted because of lies. If we had been provided accurate information in the beginning, we would have explored other options. I filed a complaint with the FTC and BBB. Below are the lies we were told.

Lie 1 - The Savannah Van Lines Sales Rep told us our quote was based on the number of items and the amount of work the movers had to put in.

Lie 2 - We spoke with a Manager, and she mentioned that the quote is based solely on weight.

Lie 3 - We specifically asked if the company was a "mover" or a "broker", were told they were both, and guaranteed we would be dealing with Savannah Van Lines movers.

Lie 4 - The Manager assured us that our quoted price would not change by much.

Truth 1 - We couldn't provide an updated inventory until the movers arrived the day of our move.

Truth 2 - Savannah Van Lines is a broker and contracted our move to Legion Express.

Truth 3 - The price ended up being based on Cubic Feet.
