In 1988, the first of its four subsidiaries opened in Long Island, N.Y. The company s next subsidiary was introduced in Cocoa, Fla., in 1994, then another in 1997 at Stuart, Fla. The Charleston, S.C., store, which opened in 1999, moved to Edenton, N.C., in early 2005. Jim and Alice Lewis opened Lewis Marine Supply in 1956. The company is headquartered in an 85,000-square-foot facility in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
