This place is all around great I can’t speak for everyone else but this was the best place for my brother

God bless these volunteer angels. Sobriety is my biggest blessing. I have now being over 2 years clean and sober. I credit my higher power and the support system I cherish.

The place should be shut down. A roach and bed bugs infested place. The residents were very nice.

This place is a complete nightmare. DO NOT GO HERE. Stay at another halfway house, PLEASE save yourself the misery!!



Foundations in Oakland Park is a halfway house/flophouse/transitional living facility. Rent is $145/week or $540/month for a shared bedroom in a 2 br + 1 bath apartment.



The apartments are disgusting, as are both buildings. Peeling paint, holes in walls, appliances are broken and rusted, dirt and grime cover everything. Cigarette butts are everywhere, although the residents are provided with very rusted Chuck Full o' Nuts coffee cans to dispose of them.



Apartments are furnished with cheap, old furniture. My dresser had stains on it and missing drawers. The couches looked like they were picked up by the side of the road, and covered with dirt and stains. The TV's were 20 years old.



Direct TV was provided for us for no additional cost. Internet was nonexistent - you were unable to even pay extra for it.



There are roaches and bedbugs in nearly every apartment. When I moved in, there was a sign on my fridge "PLEASE VACUUM AND MOVE FURNITURE WEEKLY TO PREVENT ROACHES/BEDBUGS/SPIDER NESTS". The silverware in the kitchen was from the 1960s and filthy.



Don't go here whatever you do. Like I said, it's hell on earth.
