My wife found this dentistry office... Showed up for my first visit... All I wanted and could fit into my budget was a simple cleaning... Refused to clean my teeth with out a full dental x-ray taken... I can understand that, as they want to start a file on me... However they show no flexibility what so ever... In my case I have considerable bone loss... (This is not new news to me) I also know that this will eventually mean dentures for me... But what enrages me about this practice is that they refused to clean my teeth... Because I said no to the deep cleaning (Scaling cleaning) I was told that if I didn't pay for the four quadrant scaling procedure that they would not clean my teeth... I myself will never return to this practice, and I will not let the rest of my family return... The High pressure squeeze as much money out of the patient and the scare you into more expensive procedures practice, is distasteful in my opinion...

The office wait was considerably quick, the office staff was nice and helpful... and they are more than happy to set you up with a payment plan... They have many forms of payment scheduling and assistance... Unfortunately, I am unable to review the actual quality for the Dentist nor the Hygienist... The practice (Birchwood Family Dentistry) refused to clean my teeth because I said "NO" to them... I was then shown to the front desk for payment of the x-rays, that i truly didn't want in the first place...

I personally rate this dentist as poor... If you are a rich person, and have good insurance for every high priced procedure, then you will rate this dentist far above poor...

Run as fast as you can from this office. We as well have used Birchwood dental for many years. The new staff is horrible. Last year my husband had a tooth extracted and partial made and all was fine. Today they told him his teeth were in terrible condition and they would not be able to do just one extraction like they did last year but would need to pull all 4 front lower teeth BUT they would be happy to put us on a payment plan. All this for the crazy low price of just $564.00 per month for 24 months. That's right, just $13536.00 for the work. Keep in mind we have dental insurance. This place is a money pit and everyone needs to know. Stay away!

I have been going here for years since it was the only office in town that took my insurance. At first I liked it. I’ve never had an issue getting in, always nice staff, and quick appointments. Within the last year or 2 there have been big changes with new staff and procedures. I am no longer happy. I used to go to cleanings and leave hearing I was fine no issues and now I was recently told I needed 3 caps! How do I go from no issues to needing 3 caps all in 6 months! This was after they botched a previous cap and I went a year in pain and had to have 2 root canals on the same tooth. I did go to another dentist for a second opinion and guess what….I needed no work done. The last straw for me was getting some other work done and being quoted approx. $80. I get the bill 2 weeks later and it is now nearly $300! When I called they gave me some lame insurance bull that they should have already known when quoting me. So now I have a large balance on my account and I have been making payments bi-weekly so I can get it paid off. I just received a nasty letter stating I haven’t paid my balance and if I don’t make arrangements (which I already did) they will take me to collections. This office is no longer in the business to help people with dental needs all they want is your money even if it is unnecessary procedures. Stay away from tis place unless you like paying for unnecessary procedures.

I have been going to this dentist for four years and have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Valdes, however I just had a root canal completed and the "new hygienist/guy answering the phone" (not sure how he is qualified to do both jobs!) has no idea what he is doing! Everything that he was supposed to do during the root canal process he needed assistance on, the temporary he made was in my bite and very painful, then he told me to go buy motrin 600 from Walgreens for the pain, which they do not sell without a prescription! I am considering switching dentists just because I do not want to deal with this idiot! Dr. Valdes needs to get rid of him if she wants to save her practice!

I am very happy as a patient. The Doctors are very gentle and the staff is friendly. They never recommend treatment that I do not need and I consider them to be very ethical. This is important to me when choosing a dentist that you can trust. I highly recommend them to my family and friends and I plan on being a patient for a very long time!
