Companion Pet Clinic really cares about the animals. If an animal is in distress/sick/etc.,
they focus a lot of that. They always keep everyone happy, because their main goal is to please the animals and their owners.

Low cost isn't everything. I c...

Low cost isn't everything. I called because my sick dog wasn't getting any better on the course of treatment prescribed by this clinic, in fact her condition had worsened considerably after several days. The staff told me Dr. wanted to see her again and that it was fine to come in any time. When I got there about two hours later, I was told the vet was too busy with back-to-back surgeries to see me. She would, however, keep my dog in the back room to examine her between surgeries and I could pick her up several hours later. My dog had already been diagnosed with a contagious illness by this same veterinarian, so I don't understand why she wanted to take her back to where she was performing surgeries. That is a big red flag for me. And, since my dog was getting sicker by the day, of course I wanted to be present for an exam to ask questions and provide important information about her symptoms. I guess you get what you pay for. It seems that things are too rushed at this clinic and some corners are being cut here. The majority of the staff is quite rude and unprofessional. I will happily pay more somewhere else for better care and a professional, courteous staff.

You Risk your pet's life going here.

I took my kitty in to have her ears clean. When they took her in the back, I heard her sreeching in pain. I started back to where they took her, but the receptionist would not let me in. They charged me $22 for the ear cleaning and $22 dollars for the ear antibiotic. When I got her home and took her out of her carrier, she could not stand up. She would fall, walk into walls, she was sick and couldn't eat. It was a Saturday night and by the time I called them back to see what they had done to her, The clinic was closed. On Sunday, I gave my kitty a few drops of baby tylonol a couple of time because she was in obvious pain.

I took her back as soon as I could on Monday and I found out that the Vet had not worked on my kitty, they let an Intern do it and the Intern had used too much water pressure in her ears. The vet told me that tylonol can kill cats and the ear damage would pass in somewhere upto 2 weeks. I was furious. They did not apologize for injuring my cat, they did not offer a refund of the $42. And the vet essentially said that my cat would probably have permanent liver damage from the tylonol.

If you take your pet there, you risk their life.

Outstanding Care!

I have been taking my pugs to these vets for more than a decade. Even after I moved to another state. The care these professionals offer is awsome and they give both the pet and thier owners respect and compassion.

my thoughts about this companion

the husband and wife team that run this office are phenominal!!!! i had lived in forest grove for a LONG time and never went anywhere else! i have since moved to beaverton, and was heartbroken to leave them due to the commute.... but after an experience i had at companion pet on allen blvd (see review for them) it is well worth my trouble to go to forest grove for my four legged kid's needs ( i even take the bus out there with my dogs!!! )
