I signed my puppy for training classes and they were rescheduled and sent a message supposedly using an old number I did not list when I enrolled my pet. I showed up and was asked by Lindsay, a supposed trainer, why I was there. When I told her why she stated that it was only a puppy graduation day and she had no classes that day. She was extremely rude and very unprofessional. I told her about the scheduled classes and looked at my phone and chuckled to myself, thinking that this was really insane that I specifically signed up and looked forward to this class and this start date. Then she said under her breath, I don’t see what’s so funny. After I said excuse me thinking I must be hearing incorrectly, she then said to me that this puppy class was pushed to next Friday at the same time and that today was puppy graduation. I looked at her face and asked her why she was so angry, to which she replied that she did not appreciate being scoffed at. Because of her attitude and demeanor, it was clearly evident that this would not be a positive experience or partnership for me or my puppy to be in. I asked her if she could please let me know how to get a refund for the classes. Again, she chastised me and asked why I would request a refund if the class was only a week away. It’s just a week! I again asked her why she was so angry and she said you get a refund at the front counter, I can call my manager for you, you need to get out of the puppy training area and it’s too bad bc I love training doodles. I said, my puppy is not a doodle. Which angered her more. I will NEVER give this company a dime of my money. I would think someone in this role would be kind and compassionate. DO NOT COME HERE. I will be scheduling with PetSmart. My friend’s MIL had a bad experience too.

On the night of February 28th, I took Sophia to her Thursday night puppy class at Petco. We were working on loose leash walking, and as always, Sophia picked up her lessons immediately. My goal was for her to be a certified therapy dog, providing Animal Assissted Therapy to those in need.

As Michael walked into the room that evening, Sophia barked to greet him. At this point her trainer decided this was an undesirable behavior, and pulled her by her leash until her front paws were dangling off of the ground. I still see Sophia’s wrinkles enveloping her face from the pressure of the collar on her neck.

When she was let down, she immediately vomited several times, and then collapsed. She was gasping for air, and her breathing became increasingly labored. My fiancé and I tried to free her airway to see if she was choking, but her condition worsened. Blood began coming out of her mouth.

The Petco staff was clearly not trained in any protocol in the event of an emergency.

she didn't think about me when I was on the phone just know the how much it cost for dog house how much it'll cost cost and all she did was end up going to the phone she put me on hold of them into picking up I mean really that's just stupid I am a honest customer are you do this to me despicable

I have been going to Petco for the last two years and Brenda is the mgr. She has been grooming my Westies (2) and Schnauzers (2) and every time she does a wonderful job. The only thing I do not like is that they are there almost the whole day but the cushion is I know that she takes good care of the animals left to be groomed. I highly recommend her and her staff they are so friendly and I know that my dogs like it there because they are not nervous when I drop them off.
