Do not go to this old doctor. He doesn't know what he is doing at all. First, his office located in Flushing is in an apartment building. The room is extremely dirty, old and funky with no modern equipment. Second, he doesn't know what he is doing; he is not knowledgeable about skin even though he is listed as a dermatologist. It is a shame that this kind of doctor exists.

Everything that the previous r...

Everything that the previous reviewer has to say is spot-on. The office was vintage mid-century modern right down to the lack of a computer and the sign on the door that says "call KL5-5555."

The doctor is a very sweet man and can likely diagnose and treat a minor issue. I went for some minor irritation and he assured me that it was nothing. I wouldn't go to him for anything serious.

There was a secretary both when I called and when I went for my visit.

Very nice people, but I agree, maybe the doc needs to retire.

Dr. Gelfarb is a nice old man ...

Dr. Gelfarb is a nice old man but he has no clue as to my condition or diagnosis. My dentist had provided me the correct diagnosis to a skin condition that I had. I am very surprised that he is still working, I believe he must be 80 years old. His office is dark and dingy, looks like he hadn't renovated since 1970's. I don't even believe he has a receptionist, when I called to make an appt, he booked my appt and when I arrived for my appt, he was the only one there. I don't even see a computer in the office. I don't even think he sterilizes his instruments. He definitely should retire. I don't think he can keep any patients.
