i'm a little surprised at the bad reviews. I've used them a couple of times and they've been competent. Never friendly but I've had my orders placed and delivered with no problem. The driver was even nice enough to help me with the curb side delivery. I'd use them again if my order was purchased at competitive price. And, they're less chaotic than Home Depot.

Ridgewood is generally a nice neighborhood, full of friendly understanding people. This is not the case at Forest Builders Supply. The customer service leaves plenty to be desired starting from the girl at the desk, and ending even worse with the union carpenter in the carpentry shop.

After a rather rude response to my phone call to inquire if Forest Builders could make 6 simple cuts to a piece of crown moulding, I was told to come on a monday before 3pm. I showed up before noon, and was treated like a steerage passenger. After paying more than one would expect, I was left to my own devises to find the shop located around the corner and a few doors down. The geriatric working in the carpentry shop proceeded to cut the moulding improperly (not even to the measurements I had requested), and then further offended me by claiming I "didn't pay enough" to have the job done properly. In the future, I would happily travel to Canada or beyond to have simply woodworking assistance, than to deal with the miscreants at Forest Builders Supply. Never again.

totally incompitant service given. dont even bother to call, the person who answers will more then likely not even know how to speak in a understandable voice. Not one of my questions were answered in a knowledgable way. this company doesnt deserve any type of consideration in my opition.
