***WARNING, DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH STEVE ALLEN***
This is the first time I have ever written a review about any business but I felt that the residents of Flower Mound and the surrounding area need to know these facts.
I was a customer of Steve Allen State Farm for over 8 years and never really had a problem except that one the few occasions that I left him messages he never returned my call only his staff would. Two months ago I decided to switch agents to an agent closer to my home, after switching to my new agent he did a review of my policies with me (Steve Allen had never done this in 8 years), my new agent found that I had been paying between $750.00 and $1,000.00 a year too much for my homeowners insurance for 8 years (that's a lot of money). I called Steve Allen's office and received a call from him the next day, he was very rude and condescending to me and even called my new State Farm several derogatory names, and telling me it is my responsibility to make sure my policies are what they are suppose to be (I thought that was why I hired him as my insurance agent) before hanging up on me.
I guess you only see someones true colors after you decide not to do business with them. I will continue to do business with State Farm but will let everyone I know about what a POMPOUS JERK Steve Allen really is.

Poor Customer Service

I've had my policy with Steve for over a year. I called Steve's office in August about adding my wife to my auto policy. His staff said they would do this. When I called back to check on the status nothing was ever done - and I had to go through all of the details again. This happened on several occassions throughout August, September, and October. This past Monday, October 28th, Steve's office informed me that nothing had still been done. I was also informed that my wife had been dropped from her previous policy and left without insurance for 2.5 months because they never added her to my policy. Phone calls are not returned, customer service is terrible. Additionally, Steve called me to let me know that I was in the wrong. He didn't immediately apologize for the lack of customer service but tried to assure me that State Farm had my back despite the fact that my wife didn't have insurance. What a joke. I cannot recommend Steve Allen. Warning: Unless you want to be treated terribly, take your business elsewhere!!!
