I was hired as a home health care aid for my mother. After 6 weeks of working for Trina, I still did not have my first paycheck. When I called the Health and Senior Services (Who she goes through) I am informed that not a single one of my timesheets had been put in. I called her on the 21st to try and have the problem solved, and was told she was 'working on it'. I called back on the 25th to check the status, and she had put them in (Which at this time is not confirmed by the HSS) after the deadline and I could expect it on my next pay period...in two weeks. When I told the owner I did not have gas money to make it to my mothers house, she called the police and a social worker, and they all started pounding on my (bedridden) mothers door. I called Miss Trina while she was there begging for her to send the police home as they were unnecessary, and causing my mother anxiety. She then told me that I should have never left if I didn't have money for gas. I told her that first, I had not been paid for the work I had already done (Again, over 6 weeks) and second, that I was not required or even expected to stay at my mothers house, as I had my own to get back to. Over the next 30 minute discussion, she hung up over 10 times, completely bad mouthed my mother (Still bedridden) and called me a liar for not having gas money. After finally getting her to let the police leave, she left and promptly text me that I was no longer her employee and my check will be mailed out sometime in the next two weeks. I am still stranded without being able to access my injured and at this point possibly DEAD mother, and she has completely shut all communication down. After six weeks of working for a great company, I must say that this mistake was utterly gross and irresponsible, and she in no way is equipped to run this business. If you are looking for a home health care provider, only consider this one if you are content in having over 1k withheld from you and your family member suffering, possibly dying.
