Wow. About the above account and one-star review, all I can say is, the whole incident looks a lot different from our point of view. (I am a church member.)



We would love to be at peace with these folks as we are with all our other neighbors, but our best efforts failed in this case.



We'll keep trying. We've had a good relationship before - this family's children have been regulars at our (free) Vacation Bible School, and one was even a teen assistant. We'd welcome a return to the way it used to be..

Steer clear of this place. We have had the misfortune of living directly behind them for years. Although we have had minor contact with them we learned exactly how they think and believe today. My daughter was hit repeatedly by crap apples and had several welps all over her by the Pastor and his staffs kids. When I walked over to speak with the children to find out why they thought that was ok they told my daughter 'she can stand there all day because we aren't coming'. So I proceeded in the woods (where they are allowed to roam freely with zero supervision). I heard them say 'there she is!'. I told them they had 3 seconds to come out or I would call the Pastor. As I turned to go home to call a boy around 12 was walking toward me. I asked if he was one of the ones throwing the things and he said no. He then began telling me that they were trying to hit the 8 year with my daughter. I said 'that explanation doesn't make much sense. Why would it be ok to do it to anyone'. Then he turned extremely disrespectful and actually charged toward me. Not sure what he planned to do. I left after telling him to walk away. My husband went over to talk to the Pastor when he ran into the staff members parents. The Pastor came over with all the children. As they were approaching the one who charged at me had a dirty look on his face and I made a comment. Without even seeing it the Pastor said 'no he isn't. That set me off! He then told me to 'be quiet'. Clearly he must think speaking to women like that is acceptable. In the conversation he said that the boys were only playing a game where they throw things at each other and that was an acceptable game. Who in the world thinks that game in appropriate? Bottom line, they accept their children being rude, disrespectful liars and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Find a church that doesn't have very few members. And ESP one that thinks bad behaviour is a good example to our young impressionable children.
