Florence Middle School offers a variety of educational and extracurricular programs for students in grades seven and eight. It provides classes in English, French, Spanish, social studies, science, math, history and physical education. The school also conducts classes in computers, foreign languages, journalism and creative writing. In addition, Florence Middle School provides courses in electronics, automotive service and graphic arts technology, as well as health, family and consumer science. The school s athletic program includes baseball, football, basketball, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball. Its clubs and organizations include a student council and math team, as well as band and choir clubs. Florence Middle School operates a library and media center that stocks various types of books and reference materials and provides a Web-based accelerated reader program.
