This store truly does not care about their customers. I had purchased an osprey back pack online and asked if they would help heat mold the belt for a charge. They refused to do it since I had not bought the product there. In the end, I took it down the street to Babbit's who was happy to do this for me.

I wrote Peace Surplus and expressed how upset I was about their lack of customer service and got no response at all. This is because they do not care about their customers. Please spend your money elsewhere and help run this crappy business out of town.

Decieving Name! Nothing Peaceful Here!

I was previously a customer and supporter for years, but the owner Steve Chatinsky has changed that. Steve does not care about his customers and would rather alienate them than save them. I bought $95 worth of gear on Friday 5/13, and left my car there while I walked around the corner for lunch. Got back and it was towed. I even left the Peace Surplus bags in clear display on the front passenger seat. Attempts to find reason with Steve have failed. Although it’s great to have independent ownership in Flagstaff, I cannot support a business that will not work with their loyal customers and operates in such a stubborn fashion. Steve doesn’t feel like someone who spends $95 at his store is worth it, so I recommend taking your $95 over to Aspen Sports, or Big 5 for that matter. I have always suggested that people support independent business in Flagstaff and shop at Peace Surplus, but that is no more since Steve confuses "being a man of his word" as a synonym for stubborn ignorance.

Best shopping and great deals!

Peace Surplus is such a great place to shop-no wonder they are Best Outdoor Store in Flagstaff. The people who work there know their stuff and are really nice and fun. I got the best deal on wool socks...3 for $15. As a local, I am happy we have a store like Peace Surplus.

Ripped OFF

I bought a Thermorest repair kit at Peace Surplus. I found that the glue had hardened beyond use. I asked to exchange or get a refund, and was told they do NOT stand behind what they sell. This is absolutely unacceptaible. Shop at Aspen Sports!
