I lived here for a year and I wish that I had listened to the reviews I saw prior. When I went to visit everyone was very nice and professional. However, after I moved in, I was taken aback when I realized that all the owner/manager cared about was money and what was convenient for her. And sadly, there are several residents who are experiencing the same thing but unable to leave. I saw that they picked who they wanted to fully (to a ridiculous end) hold the lease to, while others did not have to comply. Although the office staff are friendly and the maintenance man is nice, the owner/manager and her family are not. They leave numerous notes of your door for general and specific messages (even if you are home), they will not give you back your entire deposit (I read this in a review as well) and that they will find things to deduct you for. This is NOT my first time living in an apartment and I can say that this is the first time I was ridiculously deducted. Also, as a heads up -- they ask for TWO MONTH'S deposit, if you have a pet, it's THREE. Which I found after the fact isn't exactly lawful (http://www.nyshcr.org/Rent/FactSheets/orafac9.htm). Over all I've very disappointed in my overall experience and I would NOT recommend this complex to anyone. And not just from my experience, from others who have lived there as well.
