I am a cancer patient, the medicine that I take made my teeth fall out. I don't have any insurance for dental. I had to save up to get some dental work. Seen this Dentist on television were same day service, you can get extraction and Denture the same day. Made appt. seen Dr. Meyers told me everything I wanted to hear. Got the money save up, made appt. to have the work done. After the work was done, they say adjustment are free. and then you come back in six months to get your teeth linen put in. so you have to pay more money in six months. didn't say this at the beginning. I have been back seven times for adjustment , still they are not right , teeth are not connecting can't eat. I have lost 20 pounds cause I can't eat with the teeth. Every time I go back to see them to get them adjust they get upset at you because they didn't do what they say they were going to do. It's not Eat Right., I Can't eat with these teeth at all. Is it anybody that can tell me what I need to do about this Dentist I need HELP!!!!

I have to admit before I called, I was more than little apprehensive. Watching his television ads for the $99.00 dentures. Thoughts came into mind of, humans standing in line, slapping a set of one-size fits all teeth and pushed out the door. I made the call. That appointment changed every thought I had! I first met one of assistants, Nancy. She explained my choices in dentures. Afterwards, Dr. Meyers came in and talked to me. Looked in my toothless mouth and told him about the work I had done before coming to him. Trying to keep my own teeth. I lose that battle. Made another appointment and that night I had teeth! After a couple days, I had to go in for minor adjustment. It's been a month now and I couldn't be happier!!! The fit is great and my self–esteem is up at 1000%. Dr. Meyers, and his staff are the best. Listening and giving you a relaxed feeling. The most important thing, I never felt shamed by anyone. I will be a patient of Dr. Meyers for life. Be it my or his! LOL

Another "Beware!" After shipp...

Another "Beware!" After shipping my dentures in for repair of chipped teeth (and paying over $200 for them) they came back via Fedex... with another chipped tooth! They had been bubble-wrapped to the hilt during shipment to and from. THESE DENTURES WERE DAMAGED DURING REPAIR. Naturally I called to complain, but I in no way questioned Dr. Meyers' motives. Nevertheless, assistant Angie not only denied that her shop could possibly be responsible (how could she know?) she went into a very strange, melodramatic, and unsolicited defense of Eat Right's motives. ("We would never INTENTIONALLY damage your dentures."). So not only does Dr. Meyers office deny responsibility for the damage they cause, they now make me question their motives. Bottom line: Because Eat Right cannot be trusted to perform simple repairs, why on earth would anyone buy dentures there in the first place? I would never do it again.

I am a dental assistant with 2...

I am a dental assistant with 28 years of experience. I have worked both with dentists that make same day dentures, and some can take weeks depending on how many teeth you have. I have also worked for a lab who made them. Dentures are made of different types of materials. You get what you pay for. This is one of the hardest transitions for a patient to make. If you think you will have a hard time when getting dentures, please ask questions and research, get a second opinion. Same day dentures are good, they do need relining and or adjustments. Where your teeth were if only bone, this bone is porous and can change shape. Think about it there is a crushing force for eating, if the dynamic of the denture changes, something has to give. So don't get the cheapest type of materials. ASK you dentist what kind of teeth and materials are used. Ask him what he thinks of them. Just because the ad offers one thing it may not be the right thing for you. There are so many ways to help you either adjust to a second pair and if you are having your teeth extracted, be patient please. Your mouth has at least 6 months of changes. This is why the dentist charges you again. They can re-base which is really making a new denture just using the same teeth. Then there are a couple of ways to reline your denture. Hard and soft materials can be used. Please just keep communicating with your dentist. Thank you I just don't want someone who had a bad experience give you negative feelings for any dentist. PS: Try to keep at least 2 teeth on your lower jaw, it help keeps the lower denture in place. The lower jaw has the most bone lost and literally become flat. Then the denture is floating there with your tongue holding it in place. This is the biggest problem I have seen with patients, that and learning how to talk again. The majority of people I have had the pleasure to meet, actually do quite fine. Remember ask questions and don't make haste decisions. Thanks for reading

Buyer Beware! I've visited thi...

Buyer Beware! I've visited this office 2 times and each time I receive substandard customer service and dentures. Went in for a denture repair and was told I could get a new set for what it cost to repair my old ones. I asked specifically if I got to approve how the set looked in my mouth and was told absolutely. The teeth delivered were too long for my mouth in front and frankly made me look off. I told them I didn't like the length of the teeth and couldn't close my mouth all the way without difficulty. I was told "the bite is correct" and if I didn't like them that instead of making it right they would "cut a check". When I insisted that they fix the teeth Dr. Meyer told me that I needed to "go elsewhere". Seriously? I'm not 80 years old and in a nursing home, I actually care what my teeth look like. Yes I read the "we want you to be happy with your dentures and want you to be happy with them" form, obviously they didn't care for my satisfaction and were very rude and unaccommodating. TOTAL DISSATISFACTION. Yes they offered to "cut me a check" for a refund but I had already missed 2 days of work obtaining these dentures not to mention they would keep the teeth and leave me toothless until I could cash their check and find another dentist. I'll just have to deal with the substandard aesthetics until I can afford to miss work again and dish out another $150.

The truth is that this patient signed off that she was only interested in function and not esthetics and therefore wanted our least expensive denture. We have that in writing. She was irate and rude when she walked in five days later and refused a refund in full. She did not want to pay for a better denture that would have given her the opportunity to design her smile. She knew that when she read our office policy and then came back and demanded we start over and let her approve her smile. You can't have it both ways. Dr. Meyers tries to please everyone. Thanks for letting me set the record straight. Terri Correnti Office Manager
