Great food, loved the environment and locally grown food is that extra something that makes Salt of the earth unique. Worth the drive.

Love the concept, love the atm...

Love the concept, love the atmosphere, love the place, love the food. Only reason there's no 5th star in my rating is disappointment over portions - I ordered the scallops (about $27 entree). Waitress told me it came with potatoes as a side. When entree came, I was hoping to catch waitress to tell her she'd forgotten the side of potatoes. Then as I ate a scallop or two, I noticed a thin smear of something underneath. It looked like someone had taken a knife and spread thick, white, butter on the dish beneath my scallops - thin layer I could almost see plate through. That was my side dish of potatoes. The $27 was for 6 scallops and that smear of potatoes about as thick as a layer of butter on a piece of bread.
