Strictly Hardwood installed the floor at my in-laws log home. This was over ten years ago. It looks wonderful at has stood up to a lot of abuse. The floor has been very durable. I have even had them return to do a re-coat after about five years to keep that long lasting shine. The floor today still looks beautiful. Thanks Strictly Hardwood for quality work that continues to impress. I recommend you call strictly Hardwood for all your hardwood needs.

I had Strictly Hardwood sand and refinish my floors and they turned out better than I could have hoped for.they look better than they did new they are professional and fast I would highly recommend them!

Strictly hardwood did a floor in my parents home and also some of my extended family they came highly recommended, Russell was very professional and great to work with, he help me to pick the right wood and color combination for my kitchen, I will continue to refer him and his company to family and friends, thank you for such a great job.

Russell is the sole proprietor and one of the best craftsman in finish carpentry that I've met. Russell does not cut corners, he does the job right the first time. We had strictly hardwood/Russell install sand and finish 4 inch red oak hardwood in our home in Utah Valley. Despite the fact that we lived an hour away Russell had the wood delivered installed it sanded it and applied multiple coats of oil base finished to the floor. We appreciated his work so much that we asked him to build us a custom handrail and a custom fireplace mantle out of glazed alder. We love them and are the envy of our block. I don't mind bragging about strictly hardwood/russell's work.



Strictly hardwood/Russell is simply the best at what he does/They do. He is often in high demand and can be challenging sometimes to fit into his schedule. It is worth the wait to get the job done the way you want it to be done. We love to show off our finish carpentry. We will definitely use Strictly Hardwood/Russell for any future projects we need.

Russ did a fantastic job on my home office floor! I was so tired of carpet, so I called Russ to get his professional opinion. The price was right in line with my budget AND it looks so much better! Amazing work every time! I used Strictly Hardwood years ago for a basement bedroom. I was after a certain look & feel but wasn't sure exactly which wood to use. Not only did they consult with me and help me determine the best hardwood, but they also gave me some great ideas on paint, trim and base. Turned out beautifully. I found Russell and his crew to be timely, professional, consultative and the type of guys that I like to do business with. More recently, I had them do another job for me from my entry and hallways through the entire Kitchen and Dining area. It turned out amazing once again. I have referred many friends and family members to Strictly Hardwood and I know they had great experiences as well.

Did an amazing job on the floor in my basement I get compliments on the floor, He paid great attention to detail to make sure it looked the way I wanted. I even had him make me a mantle for my fireplace in my basement, looks wonderful and I get compliments about it whenever people come into my basement. It is one of my most favorite parts of my house.

CUT CORNERS, DAMAGES and DOES NOT FINISH the job let alone show up for the appointment, without constant asking and being ignored for for 10 MONTHS!! Russ promised satisfaction after he was paid in full. Hardly! immediately I called to address the condition of my damaged island, raised piece of sting under the finish (in the main hall and entry), rough edge where he extended flooring, and are you kidding me....unfinished RAW WOOD under my refrigerator he thought I would never notice!? Well when he cracked a fitting pulling out the refrigerator to sand my existing wood but didn't think it needed to be finished because he was too lazy to disconnect and move the fridge 5 ft to a tiled area I noticed it when I had to pay $200 to an appliance guy to fix the broken fitting. I was in shock that A "professional" did such a crappy job!! 10 months later I had to move out, again, so he could put another coat on my floor to do me the favor of fixing his mistakes. his answer to fixing his mistakes was "just calk it!" He made me well aware that he was doing me a favor AND it was above and beyond other competitors that he put extra coats of finish on the floor. I was lucky to be getting a 4th. NOT!! It now feels and looks like plastic, with weird oil looking spots all over that won't go away. If i wanted plastic I could have bought Pergo in the first place, had Home Depot install, saved Thousands, and avoided the last year having to deal with Russ. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE, and now my problem. How did I not see all of the other 1 star ratings. Pay attention.

Does not keep appointments or return calls! We asked Russell for an estimate on our floors. I called and left a message but no call was returned. So I called again later that day. Russell answered and we set up an appointment for 10 am the next day. At 10:05 am Russell called and said he was stuck at a job and asked if he could come at 12 - 12:30 pm. That was fine. At 1 pm he had not shown up. We were at home painting so it was not a problem. At 3 pm we called him. He did not answer so we left a message asking what was going on and if he was still planning to come. He never returned our calls. We are not going to use him!!! He must not want he company to have new customers! He has lost our business and we will not recommend him to anyone!

So... We called Simply Hardwood and that guy was great!

Gave me a bid as a licensed contractor, which I discovered after the job was left incomplete and he had required payment in full that the license was expired and he does not return or answer phone calls. BEWARE OF COMPANY! NOT LICENSED! Quality of work was not great. Used damaged piece of wood in the middle of the floor when there was extra wood that could have been used if more care had been taken. There are small gaps between the wood that are noticeable and the edges on the trim are not what we wanted.

Strictly Hardwood came highly recommended by our neighbors but we will not do the same. The floor seams had huge cracks in them two weeks after installation. Although the product was at fault we were promised replacement of our living room, dining room and the filling of smaller cracks throughout the house. The living room looks great but instead of replacing the dining room floor, which has a pattern in the middle, it was filled. It looks awful. As for the rest of the house, no attempt was made to fill the cracks. The owner never even contacted us after the replacement to see if we were satisfied. We currently have a complaint lodged against Strictly Hardwood with the Better Business Bureau with no resolution to date.

Before my floors were redone, they looked dull and thirsty with some minor scratching. A section of my floor was just terrible - ie large cracks, popping, and discoloration. Strictly Hardwood was able to match that section with the rest of the house and make it look brand new again. My floors look incredible!
