Avoid AdvantaClean of DuBois- Punxsutawney at all costs. I had a few in-home estimates for mold remediation in my basement, and AdvantaClean had the lowest price. I did not realize that that meant it would be the lowest quality as well.

1. The basement looked terrible after they finished. There was still paper stuck on the floor in places of suspected mold. The basement looked so bad in fact, that I spent 3 hours later with towels and bleach to clean it myself. In fairness, I paid for mold remediation, but if that service did not include simple cleaning, I should have been advised of that prior.

2. My quote included a charge for labor, at a rate of nearly $100/hour, and it estimated 5 hours. On the day of service, the men were done in half that time, and yet my quote was not adjusted and I was charged nearly $500 for 5 hours of labor. When I later realized this and called the manager William Young, he said he would reimburse me. I later received a check for $100. Where is the rest of my refund?

3. Having had the basement cleaned for mold remediation in order to sell my house, the first potential buyers had a home inspection. That home inspection turned up MOLD in the basement...

I informed William Young of the mold, and he expressed disbelief, stating they stand by their work. But why would I want them back, seeing as how they do half-rate work and charge double-time? Furthermore, the sale went through and I live in a different state, so that is out of the question.

My job now is to advise and warn other customers of this overpriced and low quality work.
