Black Rock Congregational Church, located in Fairfield, Conn., was established in the early 1850s. With just a few followers in the beginning, the church now has a congregation of more than 2,000 people. It is a non-denominational church that offers spiritual teachings, bible study and community programs. In addition, the church offers divorce recovery workshops, women s weekend, Christian counseling and teacher training workshops. The church also contributes towards disaster relief through volunteer work, and supports more 70 missionaries and over 20 missions worldwide. It extends support to organizations such as The Bowery Mission, Bridgeport Rescue Mission, His Mansion Christian Growth Center, Hopeline Pregnancy Resource Center, The Nehemiah Commission and Pivot Ministries.
