A funeral home is never a place where you want to be, but when my father passed away VanderPlatt-Caggiano's in Fair Lawn helped us create a beautiful ceremony. My father did not want to be mourned and so Richard worked with my family to make sure that his wake and funeral were upbeat and represented all of my father's favorite things in life. Their personal touches like the video montage and memory candle were unexpected and beautiful. The family at VanderPlatt's really do care. Weeks after the funeral they sent my mother a sympathy card with a beautiful memorial in it. My mother and I were both touched by the compassion and professionalism of the entire staff at VanderPlatt's; I would highly recommend this funeral home to anyone who asks.
