Nick is such a sweetheart. I dropped off a pair of my favorite (leather) ballroom dance shoes - I had them for seven years and they were so comfortable, but the heels needed replacing. We got to chatting & he fixed them while I waited, without a second thought. He did a fantastic job, and I still can't believe how little he charged me. The shoes eventually fell apart (that's how much I danced in them!) beyond even his expertise at repair, so I had to replace them. (They were, after all, shoes. They don't last forever.) (Just a side note to anyone who might feel they have a special relationship with their footwear, i.e., boots.) I'd definitely return to Nick.

This guy destroyed a pair of older model georgia steel toe engineer boots that I brought to him for a simple stitching of a 2 inch wide area that became separated where the sole, welt and upper attach on left side near the toe. These boots took me weeks to break in and had sentimental value as i wore them in my Motorcycle safety class and earned my license while wearing them. I looked forward to a long life with these. Instead of a simple stitch like we discussed, this hack cut open stitching on the side the whole way, tucked it in and stitched down the side, THEN ground off 1/4 inch off the side edge of the sole and did a sloppy buff job cutting into the heel. The one boot is now 1/4 inch narrower and is destroyed. The boots are ruined! His work is horrible and he DOESN'T care...I got my $20 for repair back, but he should have paid for the boot replacement since he destroyed these I didnt push it as I was very upset and may have said or done something I would have regretted at the time. What I am doing now is making sure the whole world knows how badly this guy sucks-he is well past his prime and should not be operating the machinery. DO NOT USE this shop
