I went in here today and tried to buy lottery tickets and the guy behind the counter stared at me then told me that unless I bought something else he wouldn't sell me a ticket. I had cash, I'm of age and I had my ID out to prove it. When I asked when the store started doing that, I was told that it had always been that way, which I KNOW isn't true because I've bought just lottery tickets here before. The guy then proceeded to ignore me, turn to the guy behind me and said, "Next." like I wasn't worth paying more attention to. I've never been treated like this before. I've worked in retail before and the number one rule is that you treat your customers like they matter and do everything possible to give them what they want. Treating customers the way this guy treated me is like a death sentence for the store. Who wants to go to a store where they're treated like they're not important to the business's survival and don't matter unless you pay for something? There are way nicer little stores around here that have treated me well and I will be going to them from now on. I don't understand why this guy acted like this. Every store that sells lottery tickets gets a commission per ticket sold plus if a winning ticket is bought at their store, they get a prize too. It's not like the store wasn't earning anything by selling me lottery tickets. Rude service for nothing.
