Easy to work with staff who will go out of their way to help. Just ask and they will find a way to assist. Amazing facility.

At first glance, this center seems friendly and welcoming. Most of the teachers are available to meet with parents and really show that they care about the well being of the children. However, all of the staff have to meet this criteria for a center to run as it should. Any time I try to speak with somebody from management, they are either short with me or seem very confused. They do not seem very organized and have no communication. The rules are different depending on who you speak with. The higher you go in management to talk to somebody, the less they know and the less friendly they become. Maybe this is because the higher up you go the less early childhood experience these leaders have if any. How can you run a childcare center if you don't have any background. And if they are this way with their customers, I'm sure they treat their employees the same or worse.

Another issue I have is with the food they feed the children. It is unacceptable. I cannot believe some of the things my child tells me they eat. When I asked about this, I was told they follow the state guidelines. I can't believe the state would approve some of these meals! I intend to look into this further. For these reasons, and many more, I would not recommend this daycare.

St. Vincent's Day Care has been providing full-time quality day care since 1918. We encourage all children to grow through a variety of stimulating activities and experiences. Teachers provide individualized schedules for infants, children and toddlers through age six, participating in events designed to make learning fun. Daily learning activities include creative art, music, language, math and science. Each day, activities are planned to encourage large and small motor development appropriate to each child's developmental level. Our highly qualified staff is trained through education and experience to be sensitive to your child's needs. We do everything we can to provide a safe, healthy and nurturing environment.



We provide care for children from ages 6 weeks through 6 years, regardless of religion, race, gender, disability or national origin. Parents must be either working or attending school. Volunteers: St. Vincent's Day Care welcomes those who would like to volunteer their time and talent. We have volunteers through the Foster Grandparent Program and through the various high schools in our community...giving your child undivided attention and support. Volunteers are carefully screened according to Indiana State Law. Counseling: Our full-time social worker offers free family, individual and child counseling for families and children enrolled at St. Vincent's Day Care. Other Sources: We offer on site speech, physical and occupational therapies, which are supported through the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation. Funding Sources:Private Pay-IBAP Gatekeeper- Child & Adult Care Food Program-United Way of Southwestern Indiana-CCDF Vouchers-Donations Operations and License: St. Vincent's Day Care is a not-for profit agency under the auspices of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul. We are licensed by the Family and Social Services Administration of the State of Indiana and are a member of the United Way of Southwestern Indiana. We are an equal opportunity employer. How to Enroll Your Child: Children must be 6 weeks through 6 years of age to enroll. Parents must be working or going to school full time. Call to make an appointment between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday at 812-424-4780. Tours are available upon request. Day Care Hours and Fees:We are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm. The fees are determined at admission and is reviewed periodically. Fees are based on family income and the number of family members.
