Classy Closet, a hidden gem

It has to be one of the hidden gems in Evanston. Every designer from Italy to Japan can be found in this store. A great place to go a browse on a Sunday or do some serious shopping on Saturday. You can often find orginal price tags on some of the items, which is always a great surprise in a consignment shop. Classy Closet has many 50-70 off Sales, and once a year has a sale where every items is $2 in the basement and $5 on the main floor. Just imagine designer jeans that orginally cost $175 only $5. Stop in one day, look around and leave with a great item at a great price.

I highly recommend that you stop in and look around. Classy Closet is a great place to browse if you have an hour or so to spare. The owner, Emanuel, is always willing to give a good deal on already great prices. The store has two floors, which many first time visitors are unaware of and the items in the basement are usually 50% off the label price. Once a year if you are one of the lucky few to have your name on the mailing list, the items on the main floor sell for $5 and in the basement for $2. Imagine getting a Columbia coat for $2 or a pair of "Seven" jeans for $5, WOW. The store now has a website that directs you to Ebay (which I hate), but you can get an idea of the items that are carried in the store by viewing the website. So take a trip to Evanston and stop by the store, don't forget to put your name on the mailing list, and maybe you can find that St. John dress or Armani suit you have always wanted.
