You are exactly on target, Allred, with your description of this business. I love to sew and quilt and frequently do business with Susie because she is the only quilt shop around. Every time I go into her shop I am annoyed at her abrasive attitude not only with her customers, but also with her employees. I can no longer take her snobby attitude, and will find another shop to spend my money.

I had a little time to kill in Eureka today so I thought I'd stop into Suzie Q Quilting. I'd never been there before. I'm a sewer and a quilter. As I got to the back of the store, I met a woman who worked there. I've never been met by a more rude store clerk. As I asked questions, she answered them while rolling her eyes. I tried to kill her with kindness but I was too nice. I'm not sure I she was the owner or not, but I find it hard to believe they can stay in business if they treat everyone that way. It's too bad. I could have spent a lot of money in there as the fabrics looked really nice but now I'm never going back and I'll encourage others to avoid the place as well.

A great selection of high quality cotton fabrics (including a nice selection of batiks and 1930s reproduction prints). Also, great notions wall and quality threads. Nice assortment of books, patterns and kits. Definitely something to offer every quilter whether looking for a new project to start, finding what's needed to finish a UFO, or just satisfying that need to buy more fabric. Very friendly and knowledgeable owner and staff will help with any aspect of quilt making. Block of the Month programs and classes (beginner thru more advanced) offered also. Definitely a shop worth checking out.
