The true test of any company is how they deal with customer service in case of any issues/problems that might arise afterwords. The fence and gates we had installed look terrific, but after 3 attempts to fix the gate settling and not latching correctly, I am not getting called back anymore. The ONLY representative of this company that you can reach with the one phone number listed is "Kris, the estimator". We talked last nearly 2 weeks ago and he stated that the one post needed to be re-cemented--it still hasn't been addressed, and it's nearly impossible to open and close now. My calls aren't being returned now. I am really not one to complain much, but I suppose I'll have to contact the BBB, etc. It's too bad because they really do good work.
Update.......to their credit, they DID come by again on 8-17 and redid the post holding up the gate that kept sinking. Hopefully that will solve the problem!

Brad Cook, owner, of Huckleberry Fence does what he says he will do when he says he will do it and the finished product is as agreed upon in the contract. His employees are courteous and will help the home-owner understand the process as the construction begins and throughout the construction to the end. The bid is met with no exceptions. If there are changes, the bid is updated and clearly presented. The designs offered by Huckleberry Fence are as varied as the clients they serve. You can choose from a gallery of fence styles or you can create/mix and match/copy any fence you like. Huckleberry Fence can build to your specifications and imagination. The end result is VERY STURDY as well. No little staples or tiny nails here! The fences are built to last. Very happy with ours. It is beautiful.

Huckleberry Fence and Deck provide a quality product and great service. Our new cedar fence is beautiful to look at and very well built. Brad and his team are great to work with. They really have mastered the art of fence building. The signature gate is the frosting on the cake.

Huckleberry Fence created a first class fence for me on a down-sloping yard. They offer many different fence designs. I chose a simple design that was still elegant--not just boards nailed to a frame. The work is excellent. The price is very affordable. I've had these folks do two jobs for me. One was personal and the other was a job I asked them to do for our home owners association. For my personal job, I had numerous fence posts that needed to be replaced. I also needed the fence to be reattached to several places where it had pulled away from the existing good posts. Brad came out on time to bid the job and clearly explained to me what needed to be done and how much it would cost. Once hired, his crew came when they said they would and finished the job in a timely manner and cleaned up when they were done.For my HOA, we needed a new barrier built around a culvert. Brad's crew removed the old, rotten one and replaced it with a new one that has received lots of good feedback from our residents.

When the rain, wind and snow finished my old fence for good, I called Huckelberry. They responded promptly, and one week later I have a gorgeous new cedar fence around my entire back yard. The work crew were courteous and responsive to my wishes. The cleanup was outstanding. I would recommend Huckelberry highly for their service and workmanship.

Hands down, from service to appearance, you can not get a better product than from Huckleberry. Driving around town, I know a Huckleberry Fence when I see it.

In my opinion, make SURE you get EVERYTHING in WRITING. Do NOT leave it up to a handshake. I would NEVER recommend Huckleberry Fence and Deck, and would NEVER use them again.

Huckleberry just completed a fence that really exceeded my expectations. These folks are professionals with a high degree of artistry. They aren't the cheapest out there, but my fence (a yellow bamboo framed in stained cedar) is so beautiful can't tell you how happy I am with it.

We built a 300 foot bamboo fence with two double gates and a single gate, and we simply love it. Brad and the crew from Huckleberry were absolutely great. It was obvious that everyone took pride in doing the job well and making our fence something we will enjoy looking at and being around probably for the rest of our lives.

Huckleberry Fence & Deck extended our old elevated deck so that the materials and paint on the new extension matched the old deck perfectly. They created attractive trellises for each end.The workers also figured out that our existing deck had moved away from the house because the footings and posts had tipped, causing the support beam to twist. They straightened up the footings, posts, and beam, and then tied the old beam into the new beam. Now we have a much larger deck that looks very nice and that we like a lot. It is also safer now! We didn't realize that our old deck was in trouble, but in retrospect, I can see that it was. Thanks much to Huckleberry Fence!

I'd heard from a landscaping professional that Huckleberry fences were the best they had seen for quality workmanship and they were right! My new fence is solid, beautiful, and the gates are works of art. Brad, the owner, is focused, professional, and was happy to answer all my questions throughout the job's progress. His crews are skilled, friendly and got amazing amounts of difficult work done quickly whether it rained, hailed or the sun came out. They maintained their own safety, were careful of my property, and got along with all my cats. The cedar is gorgeous and I highly recommend Huckleberry. Thank you!

Huckleberry accepted the job of replacing 234 ft of residential cedar fence, matching an existing style, on a firm price. They started a day earlier than promised, worked 5 straight weekdays to completion, the materials were very high quality, and the crew worked steadily, all day, and were just really pleasant good guys, that clearly knew what they were doing. The finished product was excellent. The whole thing could not have gone better. I would definitely use Huckleberry Fence & Deck again.

We got our first Huckleberry fence about nine years ago. We collaborated with Brad on the design and on the design of some arbors and gates. It was an enjoyable experience, and it came out beautifully. How many people have had a fence built, and then had people ask them who did it? We have...and some out-of-town people have said they wished they had someone like that where they lived.We recently added a section of fence and, nine years later, it was just as satisfactory and experience. The crews were super again, and Brad worked with us to get what we wanted. Also, he encouraged us to use a wood preservative, because he's so proud of his fences, he doesn't want to see them deteriorate needlessly. I sometimes say they look like furniture (we have the kind where every board is planed smooth)!

Our front deck needed to be replaced from bottom to top. We wanted to keep it looking the same - with its diagonal running boards - not a typical pattern.Huckleberry fence was just one of several companies that provided estimates. While not the least expensive, we went with Brad and co. since he was clearly the more detailed, attentive to what we wanted and timely. His crew was great - they had to do the entire week of work in terrible weather - but they did it. The deck looks beautiful and we would recommend Huckleberry fence AND Deck.

So....Half my backyard fence of 47 ft. blew down in a recent windstorm in March, 20011. The adjoining property owner and I quickly agreed that we would go with a Huckleberry Fence....Brad came out on the following Tuesday after the windstorm, gave me an estimate for the basic "Cap and Bevel" design, and his crew were on the job on Thursday. They were finished with the fence on Friday, and treated with sealer and finish on Monday. It looks awesome...that amber-yellow-golden color is so beautiful to look at, especially when the sun sets and spills it's light on the fence.! It will last for at least for 25 years. Brad is a great person to work with (not to mention a "Breakfest with the Blues" DJ at KRVM and good one at that!) I am highly pleased with the quality and professionalism shown in planning and building. It's the fence that everyone uses as their gold standard for what they want in a fence, at least it was for us! You'll be smiling with a Huckleberry Fence!

We hired Huckleberry last fall to build a new fence and again this spring to build a new deck. In each step of the process from planning through to construction, they provided us with a high quality and professional product. They worked closely with us in planning to be sure the completed fence and deck met our needs and expectations. They were meticulous in their construction work and made sure everything was correct at each step in the work. They also took good care of the work site and made sure our surrounding yard was protected.
