WE REMEMBER THIS LADY. SHE PROCEEDED TO BRING CLOSE TO 5O ITEMS UP TO THE FRONT COUNTER FROM ALMOST EVERY VENDOR. which WAS FINE! EXCEPT THAT AT 5:30 WE ARE PREPARING TO CLOSE AND SHE WANTS US TO STAY OPEN FOR HER TO LEAVE AND COME( MAYBE) BACK LATER OR THE NEXT DAY SHE ALSO WANTS TO MAKE SURE SHE WANTS TO PURCHASE EVERY ITEM.(RESORT) WE HAVE A SMALL AREA FOR ITEMS TO BE SET FOR PURCHASE SHE HAD CONSUMED ALL OF IT AND PART OF THE NEXT BOOTH WITH ITEMS THAT ULTIMATELY HAD TO BE PUT BACK BEFORE WE COULD CLOSE AND PREPARE TO OPEN THE NEXT DAY. wE TOLD HER THAT WE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO HOLD ALL THESE ITEMS AND TO BE HONEST SHE WAS A LITTLE STRANGE IN HER DEMANDS ,ALL THE EMPLOYEES HAD PROBLEMS WITH HER AND WE FELT IT WOULD BE BETTER JUST TO ASK HER TO LEAVE. tHIS GIRL WAS A NIGHTMARE!

This was the worst customer se...

This was the worst customer service I have ever received. I have never been treated so rudely and with that little human decency. The owner Michael (I got his name from the website... he didn't even have the decency to introduce himself or ask me what I was shopping for) has absolutely no customer service skills... in fact he has a complete inability in the area of social interaction with other human beings.

On Friday, June 1, 2012 I went to Hollywood Antiques and ReRuns with a $500 budget left to finish decorating my downtown apartment. I took my time to gather everything that I thought would work in my new place and asked if he could please hold it for me while I went to go get my credit card which I left at home... he was very short and rude and said he doesn't put anything on hold... I asked if he would consider at least holding it until closing so that I could go get my card. He was so rude to me about this "situation" that I was astonished and left bewildered and angry. As I was walking out the door, I felt the he had treated me so rudely that I didn't even want to come back. I went back on Monday hoping the mean grumpy old man was not working that day so that I could shop in peace. I saw he was working but I just avoided him and continued with picking out the same items I had originally asked him to hold. In the middle of my conquest for an artistic home.He came up to me and asked me if I was the same girl who had been there on Friday.I said yes and he said that I needed to leave. I was very confused... he said that what I had "DONE TO HIM" will not happen again. I wasn't aware that I had done anything "TO HIM". I asked him what he meant. He was referring to the fact that I had picked out a bunch of items and put them at the front without coming back to pay for them that day. I reminded him that I had asked him to hold the items for me and that I felt he treated me very rudely. His response was that I treated him rudely that day and that it wasn't going to happen again. I explained that instead of stressing out and going to get my card and come back and finalize my purchases, I decided not to make my day stressful and just go finish teaching the remainder of my classes. I told him there were still items that I intended to buy.

He replied, "Well, I'm going to be rude to you again and ask you to leave." I was astounded. I assured him that I had the money to pay for all the items I was picking out and that my intension was to pay for them after I was done shopping. He wouldn't even reason with me... he obviously has no capacity for adult conversation. I told him that he was treating me very rudely and he told me that I was rude. I've never even told someone they are rude to me before because usually its not that big of a deal to me... but this was over the top so I had to say something. He asked me to leave the store immediately. I asked him why he was turning down a customer who is shopping and willing to pay? I was so confused... he just said that I needed to leave. He escorted me out of the store as if I had done something very wrong (By shopping??? By not having a shopping cart or anyone kind enough to help me take my items to the front register for me so that I could continue shopping?). This was by far the worst experience I have ever encountered at any store... anywhere. I left the store bewildered. I went to my car.... thought to myself what happened to him as a child... and then I boldly decided to turn around and go back inside. I have never encountered a more stubborn, miserable, unhappy, unreasonable, and ignorant man in my years of antiquing. I was blown away.

So I drove off never to return... and here I am on yelp telling everyone and their grandmothers to NEVER SHOP AT HOLLYWOOD ANTIQUE AND RERUN STORE IN EUGENE, OREGON.
