I have trained with Sensei Thoms for many years. He is a very attentive and devoted instructor who is honest and straight forward. He lives his art. I highly recommend.

Eugene Aikikai's dues are on the low end of average for this town, but they offer multiple classes 6 days a week with a serious practice orientation in Aikido, Iaido and zazen. Oh yeah - they're a lot of fun too!

I've been a student at the Eugene Aikikai studying aikido for a little over three years. Thoms Sensei is a talented teacher with a nack for explaining, and more importantly demonstrating, the skills necessary for absorbing this engaging and effective martial art. Perhaps more importantly, the traditional manner in which classes are conducted ensure that the student has the greatest possible opportunity to experience the important internal elements of aikido.
