Clockmakers Gallery

This is the finest clock gallery I have ever had the pleasure of touring. I bring all my clocks & watches here for their exceptional service. The staff is very professional as well as friendly. I recommend them highly for both service and awesome clock and watch selection.

Do NOT take your clocks here for repair. You can tell they are poor business people by the way they badmouth other repair places. I had taken many clocks to them for a service and every single time, they find all kinds of things wrong even though the clock was keeping perfect time. Repairs always end up being around $700 for clocks that are worth little more than that. A friend took 3 large dial Chelseas (valued at over $10,000 each) in for service and walked out with a bill over $3000! After they were done, all three clocks quit running! He was so angry and had to send his clocks to Florida for repair. If you have a clock that needs repair or service for a reasonable price, try NICK at Anderson Watchmaking.

Don't take your clocks to Clockmaker's Gallery! Took my older Chelsea ships strike clock to these people to get it cleaned. They call back and tell me it needs re bushing and that when they wound it up, one of the springs detached and they wanted $150 to reattach the spring. So, they wanted to give it a cheapo flush cleaning ($288), re bush the "worn" bushings and reattach the spring that came undone for the tidy sum of $880!!!!!

I told them to pack it up and it had better be in the same condition as when I dropped it off.

They didn't want to fix the detached spring (that they detached!) unless they got $150. Had to remind them that they are responsible for any damages that occur to my property while in their possession and they fixed it, though begrudgingly, at their own cost.

Finally got in touch with another clock shop and had him clean it (completely taken apart and cleaned) for $175. And there was NOTHING wrong with the bushings and they don't need to be replaced. Now it runs like it's new and thankfully I didn't get RIPPED OFF by these so called "clock repair people."

Please run in the opposite direction before you take your clock to these people!
