Failing dryers and burnt clothes. I prefer to travel west of downtown, use Internet and watch drunks and interesting people, sometimes while eating a pita from Albee's next door.

My wife and I have used the "Big Y" laundromat for over ten years and have found it to be clean, spacious, and well-lighted with a pleasant atmosphere. It has easy access with great parking for convenient loading and unloading. The washers and dryers are modern, nearly new, and efficient. The attendants are always friendly and willing to help with questions or problems.

NO INTERNET.Many dryers (and some washers) have raised edges around the holes inside the drum, that can snag your clothes - ruined some of my Under Armor.Told worker, but she didn't care, she said they fix 'em ,then the construction workers wash their clothes and damage 'em again. I pointed some out, but she didn't bother to put an Out Of Order sign on any.Dryers get HOT, even on medium! I've smelled burning/melting odors before, and my clothes were VERY HOT. Had to finish them on low. That made me mad, because I'm careful about not shrinking my clothes.I don't go there anymore. Why should I sit and do nothing for two hours, when I could be using the Internet someplace?Have a tv tucked into one wall, that you must stand in front of to see, but good luck hearing the tiny speakers mounted in the ceiling.Always been reasonably clean when I was there, even late at night, when attendants were gone.Lost .25 in machine once and reported it via comment card. Didn't receive refund
