This is the worst experience with a doctor's office I have ever experienced. Despite being a patient here for several years, they denied to write my prescription for my chronic asthma. I cannot BREATHE without my medication and (not realizing they would deny my prescription for no reason) I waited until my prescription was up before asking for a new one. Now I do not have my medication, I cannot breathe, and I am left frantically searching for a new doctor (urgent care centers don't prescribe chronic medication) before I have to be hospitalized due to inability to breathe. What kind of doctor would do this to someone?

I couldn't agree more with the other reviewers. I would not recommend this place to anyone! After two years of going there, and sending our children there as well, our overall experience was terrible. The overwhelming majority of the staff there makes it seem we (the patients) are bothering them and/or are a nuisance, we experienced terrible customer service several times, and on multiple occasions when talking with staff on the phone and doctors in person, they were blatantly rude to us.

In general it seems staff their is more concerned about just putting in the time and leaving for the day than they are genuinely helping and listening to their patients. Also don't be fooled, they might be part of the over-arching Wellspan organization, but that doesn't seem to mean anything to them. They operate as if they are in their own self-contained silo and god forbid you go see a specialist from their organization (Wellspan) but at a different local facility, because they simply disregard that doctors notes and make your life as a patient a living hell.

As a fair warning, pick some other place to be seen and develop a doctor/patient relationship if at all possible!

I have been going to Well span for over 4 years, the first location I started at was in york pa because I owned a Medical Software company and the office was very close to my work. I had no problems with there office really, they were really good about getting me in if I needed to be seen ASAP. The only problem I had was that they were never on time with there appointments and what I say never on time I mean like over 1 hour. I sold my Company this past Jan 2013 and needed to have a doctor closer to home but also wanted to try and stay with well-span. I did just that, I found a office right up the street from my home. Valley Green Family Medicine. After asking around about what Doctor I should see and who really cared about there patients, I came to find out the Nurse Practitioner was the best. To my surprise everything started to go bad right from the start. The day of my appointment to see the NP I got a phone call and they told me the NP could not be my doctor just because. So they said I had to see doctor Edlia and I was not happy about this but I needed to get a doctor because of my health problems and could not really mess around. Well long story short everyone in the office is very rude and also talks about patient so that everyone in the waiting room can hear. My doctor also told me the medications I have been on for over 4 years he would not give me unless I went and saw a specialist for every signal one. So I did this because I fig then he would be happy and keep my meds going. Let me get something right the meds I am talking about are not narcotics or anything like that. They are anti-depressents and ADD meds, so after going to the specialist like he asked and got my first fill on the up coming of me needing a refill he told me that I had to go see all the specialist again because they were going to give me the meds from now on. Not only is this wrong it is against the law because he made me go to well span branches and told me that was all I could see and if I didn't go he would make sure to stop and take my meds. Which if this happens as some of you reading this might know, it can cause some serious health issues and even death. I talked with the doctor and office manager and they did nothing about this and told me that they could do what they wanted to do. So they are talking about patients and using there important information as a joke. Not only are they breaking the law in a lot of things, they are messing with my health and well being. I have spent thousands of dollars at this office and only being there for 3 months. So I am writing this review not because I want everyone to leave the practice but because this office might be using and saying important things about your information. I have never felt more upset about something then this nor have I ever been threaten by a doctor to do something or they would stop seeing me. The office manger told me that they could do what they wanted and it can be different for every patient, I am not longer going to this office because they will make me spend of 35 thousands dollars a year for the meds I am on because of the specialist. So all I ask is if you have had something like this happen there please contact the well- span administration not the office manager. Two numbers to call 717-812-4110 717-851-6592 and let them know what has happen because if we don't stop this office they might use your confidential information and talk about your health behind your back but for other patients to hear.
