Founded in 1986, Eastern Marine Electronics Inc, has grown to be a premier marine electronics servicing dealer in the Baltimore region, home based at Baltimore's Inner Harbor and servicing the Chesapeake Bay region. Al Engler, president started as a hobbyist restoring boats which led his interests to the industry. Starting as a salesman with a major marine electronics supplier in Philadelphia, Al became proficient in helping people design there boats electronic packages and explaining to them proper installation. Al moved forward to buyer at different catalog stores and distributors, and finally opening Eastern Marine with Stan Berger.
