Extremely unethical--NO moral conscience about ripping people off. Unfortuantely my daughter took her car here, first place she could get to for a simple battery change. They ripped her off for over $300 of unneeded expenses and labor. %80 engine check, %50 oil change, and over $150 for a battery. The car is a 1987 car. Don't you guys know by now that ripping people off is NO WAY to stay in business!!! The public is too smart to give you legitimate business. My daughter is a very low income single mother. The UGLY consequences of this kind of business practice iis something these conmen mechanics have not firgured out yet!! How STUPID!!!

Crooks!! they over charge 60% on parts and are dishonest about the labor. They do additional work without approval and then refuse to discuss the invoice. Just filed a formal complaint to BAR and asked them to review the invoice. They are ripping people off!! STAY AWAY

My wife and I took our automobile to A-1 Run Rite for a Smog check and it did not pass. Money was tight for us and we explained our situation to the owners and they said they would hook up our car to the computer to see how much are repair would be and if they could help us out on the price.



Lupe, the Master Mechanic, hooked up the computer to the vehicle and not only did he tell us what the codes were he began running several tests to see exactly what it was. In about 15 minutes he knew there was a leak in the gas tank area, but he was not sure if it was a hole in the gas tank or a leak in the gasket. He said he wanted to give us an accurate quote so he began taking the car apart to figure out if the leak that we had in the gas tank or if it was a gasket. He totally took the gas tank off and found out that the leak was in the gas cap cover, which we were relieved because that part only cost about $40 versus a whole lot more if it would have been the gas tank.



Lupe than wrote up an exact quote for us, and we had him repair our vehicle. The Book said the repair was to take about 2 hours, but he had it completed in 1.25 hours, so he used the extra time to make some minor tunes and tweeks to the engine to make it run better.



In all of our life we have never found a more honest mechanic than Lupe and A-1 Run Rite. I know everyone is always looking for a GREAT place to take there cars to get fixed without getting taken for a RIDE.....I highly recommend this shop to everyone I know because they are the best I have ever seen!
