made a new appointment with this practice and was asked to give over my insurance and credit card information. My account was charged my co-pay of $65.00 in case I was a no show which I understood. I called less than 24 hours later however to cancel my appointment that was 5 days away and office manager told me I would not be refunded my co-pay. She encouraged me to report them to the medical society and insurance company which put "ludicrous on its face"! I did call these entities and my credit card company (who reimbursed my account). My insurance company requested a formal letter and the medical board was very helpful and supportive. Unfair billing practices should not be tolerated
