On Tuesday August 11 I arrived at Lolo's at 11am to buy a sandwich to go to the beach with my kids. When I placed my order I asked if it was possible to cut the sandwich in four pieces and put them in separate ziploc bags which I provided. The man was very rude and said "Ugh no I'm just going to cut it in fours!" I responded "ok thanks but you don't have to give me an attitude. Can you cut one of the pieces into smaller..." He interrupted me and said "Get out! go somewhere else!!!" The worst part was going back to my van with no sandwiches explaining to my 3 and 4 year olds that the man got upset because I asked him to put their sandwiches in a ziploc bag and to cut my daughter's piece smaller. If they can't handle special requests, all the man could have said was "Sorry we don't do special requests." We have been trying to contact the owner since Tuesday, we have been given the run around and now the owner is "out of town" and they don't know exactly when she comes back.

AMAZING sandwiches, Subway & Jimmy Johns have nothing on this place. LoLo's has a very homey atmosphere, you feel like you're sitting in Grandma's kitchen. I enjoy this place at least several times a month, my work even caters from here once a month as well!!! Hands down best sandwich around!!!!

This place is awesome man. Damn I'm just mad that it took me this long to find out about it. Little did I know that it was hidden away in a little hamlet down Diversey, just west of Harlem. Let me tell you, I've tried all the best sub shops in Chicago, Bari, Nottoli, Alpine, and this place tops them all. It's got a nice cozy, old school atmosphere, you will feel like you're back in grammar school again, not to mention the occasional hot babes that stop by. But let me tell you the food is the best. I even spied Sunkist soda, and Kruncher's chips. I'm pretty picky when it comes to food. You can tell a lot about the cleanliness of a place, and the quality of food they have there by the type of bowel movement you have afterwards. And let me tell you, this place will give you a rock solid one. Lol. No joke. I love this place. 5 stars!
