I boarded my two border collies Christmas of 2015. One had never been boarded before. Kim is very knowledgeable and eased my mind regarding their upcoming week-long stay. Kim reported my female was stressed for about two days but with care, the ability to run in the pastures with her brother and other dogs, she settled in nicely. I appreciate the appointments for check in and pick up. Especially as I also train my dogs with Kim. It is would be very disruptive to have clients dropping off or picking up dogs in the middle of my training time. As well, Kim takes time when you drop a dog off for boarding to ask questions, assure all of your dogs needs are met and answer any of your questions. This is not a drive through service. Oh and you need to see the new facility, very, very nice!

Our dog went to boot camp. Received great training. Amazing results. Could not be more pleased. The kennels need to be upgraded, too many cages in the room. Our dog developed kennel cough two days after coming home. I would highly recommend, if not for the condition of the kennels.

We took our dogs to Kim and one of them came back with gushers on his head and neck, would not eat or drink, and was not acting like himself at all. We had to take our dog to the vet and he is now having to take antibiotics. Kim at The Dogs Spot was quite rude as always when I mentioned it to her and refused to give us partial refund. Definitely never doing business with her again.

I love the Dog's Spot and so does my dog! My dog is always jumping out of her skin with excitement when we pull up and she is so happy to see everyone that works there. I know they take great care of her and my dog loves them. Everyone is very professional and polite. I trust them 100%.

The Dog's Spot is awesome. So...

The Dog's Spot is awesome. So far I have boarded my dog, left him for doggy day care, had him trained by the owner and we, Bix and I, are taking private weekly competitive obedience training lessons there.

Boarding/Day Care: The boarding facilities are unique and the best I have ever found - and I have lived all over the US plus in a number of other countries. Bix enjoys spending time there and is always happy to be left. The facilities are well looked after and very clean. Access to water, shade, air-conditioning (or heating) is always available to the dogs. The big, open group runs provide lots of exercise and are always supervised.

Training: I have been training dogs most of my life. Kim's methods are very humane and just plain work. She really understands how canines think and easily modifies her methods to best fit each dog. I wouldn't be training withh her on a weekly basis if I wasn't super impressed by her understanding and tuition - teaching me to teach my dog.

Bottom Line: My dog is like a member of my family. I am very happy to leave Bix at The Dog's Spot as I am confident that he is in the best of hands. There is one facility, outside Johanesburg, South Africa, that is run on similar lines, and this is my second favorite Boarding/Training/Doggy day care place in the world. The Dog's Spot is my absolute favorite.

I am writing to tell you how p...

I am writing to tell you how pleased Ike and I have been with the dog training and obedience you did with our French bulldogs. These were dogs that our 17 yr old son Reid had gotten, before he died 2 yrs ago and we decided to keep them ourselves and raise. Needless to say we had let them get away with lack of discipline and have ended up with dog fights over jealousy between them. We were at our wits end and did not know what we were going to do. I had bought books and watched The Dog Whisperer and tried numerous things but still they kept fighting, hurting each other and us as well in our attempts to break up the fights.

Luckily I was referred to Kim Tome at The Dog Spot, and we began our official dog obedience training. We started with some basic commands and also reintroduced them to their dog crates that had been put away. Over time, some private training at The Dog Spot, coupled with boarding there Kim was able to show us how to manage these unruly dogs we had almost given up on. With Kim’s years of experience working with all types of breeds, she was able to recognize each dog’s behavior and pattern that was triggering the fights. She was able to show them how to be social but not fighting with other dogs. She did this by including her own dogs that were much bigger than our little frenchie’s who thought they were the TOP DOG. She later modeled the behaviors we were to continue using at home with them, and IT WORKED! We were able to allow our dogs to be together in the same room and not be so fearful of fighting. We have had a few but they are not anything like it had been. Usually the few we have had were in part due to our forgetting things like leaving food or special toys down and them fighting over that. It has been so nice to be able to have them all out, by all out I mean 5 frenchie’s at this point. Reid’s dogs have had puppies and we are keeping a couple so we have a zoo in our house but we are able to manage them finally.

Here are a few pictures of them getting along in my husband’s lap, which is their favorite spot to be if you cannot tell. I am so glad we have our own South Georgia dog behavior specialist (Kim Tome), the southern version of Cesar Millan of Dog Whisperer!!

Thanks again for all; we and OUR DOGS have learned from you, Leigh and Ike Webb

Don't go here!

had a horrible experience w/the Dogs Spot. I had a pretty hyper pitbull/boxer mix that needed some basic training techniques. After spending $600 already for her to keep him for a few weeks, she made me buy a $200 shock collar bc that's how she trained him! Well, If someone zapped me, I'd do anything too!.....

2nd Time: Stupid me!.. Had her keep him for a few days when I went on a cruise bc it was on the way to Jacksonville... She did not watch my dog at all. I picked him up..he was covered in fleas, had a 2 inch gash on his stomach bc he must've gotten attacked, which required staples, and the tip of his tail was nawed up.. This cost me an extra $500 to fix on top of the $125 she charged me for 3.5 days!

**It's one thing if your dog gets into a scuffle w/another..but you should be notified & he should be separated & treated! None of this happend!

When I noticed the injuries when I gave him a bath after getting home.. She said, oh that didn't happen here! She's very unprofessional & will throw your dog in a pin with 5-10 other dogs & not watch him at all.. Very negligent! Just wants extra money..

Took him to the Emergency Vet clinic & they also had to give him extra fluids because he was severely DEHYDRATED! It's a wonder he's ok!

After I told the owner, Kim, about his trip to the vet,.She said she'd call the vet (I gave her all contact info).. and she never responded back. It's been a month...Won't be going back there

Do NOT take your dog here unless you want to fork out lots of extra money & put your dog's health at risk.
