I ordered a Lincoln Ranger 225 Welder for my son for Christmas from EWS on Nov 28th. We were on vacation and the trucking company attempted to deliver. Due to size and weight they couldn't drop without a lift gate and until we were back. When we returned the call to EWS, Jim was rude and continued to interrupt me. He stated he would not authorize another drop and that the welder would be sent back, I would be charged shipping and I could re-order the welder. I waited 3 days to see if the welder was returned to Lincoln and if my refund was being processed by EWS. I called the trucking company who said the welder was still in Denver and a request to send back was never received. They also said they could deliver it on the 23rd of December if EWS would authorize the re-drop. I again called Jim to make the request. He was insulting and rude again. I asked to speak to his manager and was put on hold. I was given to Don....ruder than Jim. After being left on hold 28 minutes, Don said "fine we will drop it again at your home. Someone needs to be there and I hope they kick it off the back of the truck and leave it in the street". This is word for word out of Don's mouth. I had a co-worker in the car with me, driving to Denver. She too was appalled at his comments.



Long story short this went on for 30 days, we missed Christmas and I had to purchase another $3600 welder locally. Today I followed up with Don via e-mail....too bad I can't post his response...typical.



I wish would have read the other reviews on the EWS site prior to ordering online from them. Worst experience and service I've ever received from a business. If Jim and Don worked for me, I'd fire them. Imagine all the other poor service reviews not posted. Believe what you see in the reviews and pick another welding company to do business with.



I plan to file a formal complaint with the BBB of Northern Illinois.
