I wore a brand new, gorgeous Donna Ricco dress for Thanksgiving; sent it to them to clean; received it back with a partially melted zipper which I did not discover until I tried to put it on for a Christmas party. I had been going to this cleaner for alterations for years without any problems, yet they acted as if I was a criminal for suggesting they ruined the dress. First, the woman said I had exceeded the time limit to discuss property damage (who looks at the zipper!). Next, she said she would look in to it and get back to me (never did). After inquiring again much later, her teenage daughter asked for my drivers license and credit card info (ya right!--take my identity too). Then, she let me know that she will write me a letter notifying me of her intent to do nothing. She said I could sue if I want to. Perhaps I will. This is certainly the worst experience I have ever had with a small business.
