I had a tattoo done on the top of my foot on 3-2-13 by Brian.He did an awesome job! He took the time to explain everything to me. It didnt hurt at all!

I had my tongue pierced a few weeks ago. I thought it was going to hurt more than it did. Chux was professional and also explained how titanium jewelry can be changed into many different colors. I'm a gay male, and he was 100% respectful and even made me a rainbow barbell. Professional and painless, I would highly recommend Chux for any of your piercings.

A friend of mine went to this shop with the idea of a custom tattoo. Upon the review process, she wasn't 100% happy with the tattoo, which all of us know, means you don't get it done until you are 100% happy. As she exited the shop, a comment was made by the owner/artist Luke C: "I should have punched her in the (explicit)..." all for her comments on the drawing. Unprofessional, crude, and an overall horrible thing to say. Stay away from this shop, stay away from the artist, and spread the word!

About 6 weeks ago, I made an appointment at Top Notch Tattoo. First impressions are everything. I should have known this was going to be a poor experience. Even though the artist Luke completely picked apart everything about my concept, tel ling me how he did not like it and wanted to change it... I left with the understanding that he would re-draw it, but keep it similar. Today at 4pm I went in for my appointment. The drawing that Luke in came up with looked absolutely nothing like the concept I gave him. He told me to not think so literally about the piece I wanted on my body forever. While he was rude, disrespectful, and would not compromise on anything... I finally asked for my deposit back and left. This upset me enough, as I was disappointed... but what really upset me is that after I walked out, my friend was still in the shop looking at stuff when Luke decided to say in front of my friend, other customers, and his artists that I was a "Bitch" and he should have "punched me in the face" and another artist responded with "or the vagina" He continued on to bash me, my art work, and promote violence towards women. I highly recommend to all of my friend and family to NEVER go to TOP NOTCH TATTOO'S in Elgin, IL. Especially Luke, who by the way is the OWNER!!! I can not believe how unprofessional, disrespectful and out right rude he was. Please spread the word!!!

Tony Unos good... but they ahve slutty homewreckers working there. Dont go there if you're married or committed. They'll ruin your marraige!

I agree that the shop is clean but the service left a lot to be desired. I went in to get a quote for a tattoo and they were not very friendly. Nor were they very helpful. For a business they need to work on their customer relations.

Love this shop, everyone there is professional and really knows their stuff. I have seen a lot of really great tattoos walk out of this shop. Always a good time to go there.
